Fires Break Out Within Minutes at Separate Buildings in Dhanmondi and Mohakhali

Two separate fires broke out at buildings in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi and Mohakhali areas on Thursday morning. According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence, a fire broke out at an Apex footwear showroom on the second floor of a six-storey building on Dhanmondi Road 27 at around 10:05am. Four firefighting units were deployed to tackle the blaze. Another fire broke out at a building in Mohakhali around 11:05am, prompting three firefighting units to respond. The causes of both fires were not immediately known.
