A brief encounter outside Puran Dhaka’s famous Hanif Biryani has captured widespread attention online after a group of diners shared their interaction with a young pen vendor. When the group offered the child money without buying anything, he politely refused, insisting that they should take a pen if they wanted to give him money.
Touched by his dignity and self-respect, each member of the group bought a pen and took a few photos with the smiling young vendor before leaving. The story later gained attention after the child made a playful request as they parted ways, asking the group to “post it on Facebook.”
