Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H. Mansur has announced that newly designed banknotes will be released into circulation before Eid, and these notes will not bear the image of any individual. The government has decided to issue new Tk 1000, Tk 50, and Tk 20 notes, which will include depictions of mosques, temples, important historical landmarks, and scenes from nature.
Governor Mansur stated, “Three new notes are entering the market very soon, and you will see them before Eid. These notes will not feature the image of any person.”
He further explained, “They will highlight our natural landscapes, several heritage buildings, and similar elements that represent our country’s culture and beauty.”
