UK Issues Heat Alert for 30 Degrees Celsius!

Yellow heat health alerts have been issued across most of England, with temperatures expected to reach up to 30°C (86°F). The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued these alerts until 17:00 on Thursday, June 27, warning of potential risks to vulnerable people. This could be the summer's highest temperatures so far, with Scotland and Northern Ireland also experiencing warm weather. The heat health alert system, introduced in June 2023, uses a color-coded system from green to red to prepare for extreme weather, aiming to reduce illness by enhancing communication during such events.
