Over recent years, women's access to higher education has significantly improved, yet entrenched biases persist within academia, hindering their academic advancement and well-being. Despite achieving higher participation rates, female students encounter various forms of discrimination, from perceived incompetence compared to male peers to exclusion from group activities and discussions. Even faculty members, tasked with fostering inclusivity, sometimes inadvertently perpetuate biases. This challenge is amplified in male-dominated fields like engineering, where women face additional obstacles. To achieve genuine progress, confronting these biases directly is essential, creating environments that are supportive and safe for female students to excel academically.
