Thief stole electric meter and left mobile number behind

In Gurdaspur, Natore, incidents of electric meter theft continue as a gang leaves notes promising return of stolen meters upon payment. Recently, 36 meters were stolen similarly in Garishapara, Gopaler Mor. Victims find polythene-wrapped notes under their stolen meters with instructions to call specified numbers, which often lead to demands for payment. Habibur Rahman, a victim in Garishapara, discovered his missing meter along with such a note. Despite attempts to contact the provided numbers, they were unreachable. This method mirrors previous thefts in Bagatipara upazila, indicating a recurring pattern of criminal activity.
